St. Elmo school board members were briefed Monday on district finances, and not all of the news was good.

Superintendent Deb Philpot gave members a mid-year financial update regarding expenditure and revenue percentages compared to the fall budget.  Philpot voiced concerns regarding revenues that have not been received in categoricals, or other than general revenues.

Board members approved an interfund loan to cover an interest payment due on a bond until the funds are received from the federal government.

The Board approved a senior class trip to Chicago; and were reminded of the St. Elmo Education Foundation soup supper this Friday evening.
