The trial of a local man on a series of child sex crimes has again been delayed.

During a telephone conference call, attorneys for both sides in the case of James D. Zumbahlen Wednesday agreed to a motion hearing on January 14.  Due to the hearing, Zumbahlen's trial will not begin that day as had been scheduled.  No new trial date was announced.

The 51-year-old Zumbahlen faces more than 30 counts including some Class X felony counts, which would mean mandatory prison time if found guilty.  Zumbahlen is charged with various sex offenses involving children over a 20-year period of time.  Both boys and girls are listed as victims.
