Three Injured in Crash in Effingham Thursday Evening

Three people were injured in a crash in Effingham Thursday evening.

Effingham City Police say the crash occurred at 5:07pm in the 2700 block of South Banker Street.  

Police report a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Timothy Cook of Edgewood pulled into the path of, and was struck by a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Mark Haarman of Effingham.

Cook and a passenger in his vehicle, 30-year-old Rachel Jones of Farina were both injured but both refused treatment.  Another passenger in Cook's vehicle, five-year-old Jada Cook of Edgewood, was injured and was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

Cook was cited for no valid driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to yield.
