Hometown Christmas Today in Downtown Effingham

The Effingham Central Business Group, along with the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Effingham, invite you to welcome Santa to town with the Hometown Christmas celebration today.

Activities include:

--Santa's arrival down Jefferson Avenue beginning at 4pm

--lighting of the Community Christmas Tree on the lawn of the Old Courthouse

--Santa visiting hours from 4:30-6pm at Santa's house

--cookie decorating sponsored by Martin's IGA on the first floor of the County Office Building

--carriage rides

--hot chocolate and coffee on the square sponsored by Martin's IGA

--Christmas carols performed by St. John's Lutheran Church Choir and Voices of FACE

--special open hours for the Courthouse Museum

--Wonderland in Lights at Community Park this evening from 5-10pm
