St. Elmo resident Abigail Hill Monday was crowned Miss Fayette County Fair for 2012.  The sophomore-to-be at Greenville College is a graduate of St. Elmo High School.  She'll reign over the remainder of this year's fair at Brownstown and will compete in Springfield in January for the title of Miss Illinois Couny Fair Queen.  If she wins that title, she'd reign over the 2013 Illinois State Fair and DuQuoin State Fair.

Queen Abigail was also the People's Choice winner.

It was also a good night for Jenna Hunt, who was named first runner-up, Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality.  Hannah Edwards was named second runner-up.

Seven-year-old Shelby Sasse was crowned Little Miss Fayette County.  She's the daughter of Michael and Tammy Sasse of Brownstown.

Tonight, truck and tractor pull competition is scheduled in front of the grandstand at 7pm, and the midway opens at 5pm with armbands available for $17.

The fair at Brownstown runs through Saturday.
