New contracts with district teachers and support staff personnel were approved Thursday by the Cumberland Board of Education.

Each contract is for this school year and the following two school years.  The agreements were earlier approved by the Cumberland Education Support Personnel and the Cumberland Education Association.

The Board also gave 3% pay increases for the current school year to non-union district personnel excluding administrators whose salaries are handled separately.

The Cumberland board approved a field trip by the FFA to Louisville, Kentucky for the National Machinery Show and Tractor Pull, and tabled discussion of a bass fishing club until more information is available.

Principal Todd Butler recognized the donation of $4,000 from the Neal Foundation for technology.
