A single-vehicle rollover crash Friday morning sent a Teutopolis teenager to the hospital.

The crash occurred on 2100th Street, just north of 1400th Avenue near Teutopolis at 7:53am.

The Effingham County Sheriff's Department reported that a car driven by 17-year-old Taylor Waldhoff of Teutopolis was northbound on 2100th Street when the vehicle drifted off the roadway to the east and into the ditch.  After traveling approximately 300 feet in the ditch, Waldhoff overcorrected and the car came back across the roadway, hit the ditch on the opposite side and rolled over, throwing Waldhoff from the vehicle.

Waldhoff was first taken to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, and then was airlifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana.

Sheriff's deputies were assisted by the Teutopolis Fire Protection District and Effingham City-County Ambulance Service.
