Illinois lawmakers have approved 34-million dollars to launch the new concealed-carry program in Illinois.

Illinois was the last state in the nation to give people the right to carry guns in public and that was done under a court order.  Come January 1st, people will be allowed to apply for a carry permit.

It’ll take a few months for the permit to be approved but people should be able to carry legally by next spring.
