Clay County Man Sentenced To 14 Years in Prison

A Clay County man will spend the next 14 years in prison after pleading guilty to two methamphetamine related charges in a federal indictment.

Charges against 32-year-old Mason resident Derek L. Cosner say that from February 2011 until February 2013, Cosner assisted in the manufacture of over 50 grams of methamphetamine and that he intentionaly possessed equipment and chemicals meant to be used in the production of meth.

He was senteced tdo 14 years and two months in prison, four years supervised release and fined $500.
