The Flora Industrial Commission and the City of Flora will host two economic development events in Flora on Monday.

There will be a ground-breaking ceremony at #9 Briscoe Drive (west of the CPS warehouse) to kick off construction of an 18,000 square foot $1.6 million CPS fertilizer facility at 10am.  CPS company officials hope to begin construction as early as next month.

At about 10:30am, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at #50 Industrial Park.  Longtime Flora manufacturer Columbus Container will offiicially open their doors at the former 120,000 square foot Agracel Warehouse facility.  Along with its container manufacturing, Columbus will also house the "annex" operations of several Clay County manufacturers.

The public is invited to attend both events.
