In our story on the funding for the Richard E. Workman Sports and Wellness Complex, we mentioned that in addition to the $5 million contribution from Dr. Workman, another $2.5 million to $3 million will be raised in a fund drive scheduled to be completed by March 1, 2014.

We didn't specify that the Effingham Park District would be financing the remainder of the project cost.  Park Board President David McDevitt said that the balance would come from the Park District, but said that the District will not need to raise taxes to come up with the funds.

The final cost of the Complex and the final design are yet to be determined.
