One person was injured in a crash northwest of Effingham Wednesday morning.

We told you on the Morning Show Wednesday about a crash at Nazarene Church Road along Illinois 32-33.  The crash happened at 7:15am when a car driven by 31-year-old Martylynn Forgia Hudgens of Effingham was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Alec Schwerman of Mason.

State police say Hudgens started to pull out onto Routes 32-33 and then stopped and was struck from behind by the Schwerman vehicle.

Hudgens was injured and was taken for treatment to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Schwerman was cited for following too closely.
