The distribution of free produce at the FISH Service Center went so well that they are already out of items.

We had told you FISH planned to distribute the food today and Saturday, but there were 75 or 80 vehicles waiting when the distribution opened this morning.  FISH volunteers gave out the goods on a first come first served basis, and the produce is already gone.  Two ladies each got a container of cole slaw to finish the distribution.

The produce was available after a truck taking a load of goods to a store broke down yesterday.  By the time the truck was repaired and the driver arrived at the store, the store could not accept the items.

That led the driver to look for where he might leave the goods and do some good, and that led him to the FISH Service Center.  Koerner Distributor provided a couple of cooling units in which to store the goods and McMahon Recycling provided a forklift and driver and the truck was unloaded and the distribution began (and concluded) this morning.
