Illinoisans who buy trailer homes now have a guarantee that they won’t be getting a former meth lab.

A new law requires trailer park owners to tell buyers if the home was once used to make the drug.  They could be fined $2,000 for failing to disclose that information.

The law came about after one Illinois family purchased a former meth lab and was on the hook for thousands of dollars in extra cleanup costs.
