The Illinois Rural Health Conference is hosting its 24th Annual Educational Conference today and tomorrow at the Thelma Keller Convention Center in Effingham.

The conference is billed as an opportunity for rural healthcare professionals to advance their skills through continuing education and professional development.

Educational workshops are being conducted by rural health experts and are geared towards clinicians, health care administrators, rural health clinics and EMS providers.

A special "Night in Hollywood" themed award reception this evening will honor those in the health care field who have made great strides to improve access to rural health care.
