A Mason resident was injured in a crash in Effingham Monday afternoon.

The crash happened just after 1pm west of the intersection of Fayette and Henrietta.  City police say a vehicle driven by 82-year-old Leonard Ricketts of Mason pulled in front of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Scott Hawkins of Effingham.

Ricketts was injured and was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

Police cited Hawkins for driving while his license is revoked and for leaving the scene of the crash.
