A Watson resident was injured in a crash on the interstate Thursday morning.

The crash happened at 7:25am on I-57, two miles north of Farina.

State police say a truck driven by 40-year-old Leslie Meyer of Watson was southbound when the rear driver's side tire blew.  Meyer lost control of the truck, which ran off the road and into a fence.

Meyer was injured and was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.
