St. Elmo school board members Wednesday voted to co-op with Brownstown schools in all junior high and high school sports starting with the 2013-2014 school year.

The Brownstown School Board voted Monday to approve the co-op agreement.

Incoming Brownstown Superintendent Adam Bussard Thursday said St. Elmo will be the host school for boys basketball, volleyball, softball and cheerleading, while Brownstown will be the host for baseball, girls basketball, Scholar Bowl and track.  The same alignment will be used for junior high and high school sports.  The exception will be fifth and sixth grade basketball, where each district will maintain its own program.

The agreement has been discussed for the past several years.

Also this week, the St. Elmo Board approved the student fee schedule for the coming year and the district insurance renewal and fees.

In personnel action, the Board approved retirement notices for Holly Huffer effective June 29 and for Rick Brown effective July 31, and approved administrators salaries and bookkeeper and maintenance supervisor salaries for the coming school year.
