Effingham Knights Making the Rounds

Members of Effingham Knights of Columbus Council #665 have been making the rounds during July.

The Knights participated in the Effingham 4th of July Parade.  With the float were Wilbert and Tony Kinkelaar; Jesse, Donna, Theresa, Katrina and Thomas Davis; Gerald Will; Mark and Darlene Krietemeyer; Keith and Pattie Willenborg; Don, Christie, Trey and Madeline Brown; Rick, Jacob, Luke and Lucy Johnson; Rick's cousins from Kansas Brad and Devin Stamback; Art, Sarah, Allison and Marcus Geen; Katelyn Dust; Allie Dasenbrock along with St. Nicholaus Circle 5651 Squires Blake Walker and Mitch Althoff.

The Effingham Knights also participated in the Sigel Sesquicentennial Parade and hosted the Effingham KC 4th of July Parking Lot Party.

The Knights will assist with the Special Olympics Bowling Tournament at K-Bowl in Effingham on Saturday, August 24.

The Columbian Squires of St. Nicholas Circle 5651 installed officers for the year.  They include Chief Squire Mitch Althoff, Deputy Chief Squire C.J. Schmidt, Bursar Brett Dust, Notary Ty Bracey, Marshall Taylor Sears, Sentry Derek Robertson, Arm Captain Tanner Jones, and Pole Captain Isaac Heischmidt.

The Squires will be hosting a "Blue" Mass at 5:30pm on September 8 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham for all Emergency Services personnel.  The Knights are hosting the Mass as an opportunity for the community to gather to pray for the safety of emergency services personnel.
