Fayette Board Fills 3 Vacancies, One Still Yet to be Filled

Fayette County Board members knew they would be looking to fill vacancies after no one filed to run in four board districts in the November election.

The Board took care of most of those vacancies this week when three people who earlier decided against seeking re-election agreed to remain in office.

The three are Republican Merrell Collins in District 2, Republican Sean Hannagan in District 3, and Republican James Wehrle in District 6.

Collins, Hannagan and Wehrle will serve until the next board election in 2026.

There is still one vacancy on the Fayette Board so another appointment is needed.
