Two Kentucky Residents Injured in Area Crash

Two Kentucky residents were injured in a crash in Effingham County on Saturday afternoon.
State police say a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Steve Lubke of Kettle, Kentucky was traveling on I-57, eight miles south of Effingham in a cloudburst at 2:10pm. The vehicle began to hydroplane and ended up off the roadway.
Lubke and his passenger, 59-year-old Marsha Lubke, were injured and were taken to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.
