Windsor school board members have filled a vacancy on the Board.
Nick Henderson was appointed to serve until next spring's Board election. Henderson will succeed Wanda Kearney, who resigned earlier this year.
The Board also accepted Josh Forsythe's resignation as varsity boys basketball coach. Forsythe is taking the varsity coaching job at Mattoon. Windsor Superintendent Sharon Keck said they hope to hire a coach at their July meeting.
The Windsor board hired Vanessa Fritscher as speech pathologist. She's a Dieterich native. The Board also agreed to raise all lunch prices by 10 cents for the coming school year to bring the District into eventual compliance with new Federal guidelines for meal reimbursement.
Board members also agreed to seek a $50,000 state maintenance grant. Keck said the District plans to use the revenue for plumbing and lighting work, parking area improvements, and work on a bridge at the grade school building.
