An audit shows about one in seven roads across Illinois is in need of repair.

The number of roads needing repairs has actually increased since four years ago when the state approved tax increases to pay for road construction.

15% of Illinois roads were on the repair list last year, an increase from about 11% in 2010.  IDOT said the list has grown because the department has been concentrating on repairing bridges for the past three years.
