Washington Savings Bank President and CEO Claude E. Hudson announces Vice President/Information Technology Officer Larry Reed recently completed the Certified Community Bank Technology Officer Program.

Reed successfully fulfilled the requirements of the Independent Community Bankers of America’s (ICBA) comprehensive bank information and technology training program and passed the certification examination associated with the program.

“With our customers relying on technology for their banking needs, it is essential we stay on top of new programs, applications and services that will benefit our customers,” said Hudson. “Certified programs, like the one Larry attended, allow our team members to continue their education and bring that knowledge back to our bank, which will ultimately lead to better service for our customers.”

Reed, who has been employed at the bank for 30 years, enjoys working with new technologies and helping the bank staff and customers learn those technologies.

“We work diligently to provide the best services and technologies available to our customers,” said Reed.

The ICBA, the nation’s voice for community banks, represents nearly 5,000 community banks of all sizes and charter types throughout the United States. The ICBA is dedicated exclusively to representing the interests of the community banking industry and the communities and customers they serve. For more information, visit www.icba.org.
