Teutopolis village board members Wednesday night approved an appropriations ordinance for the fiscal year that began May 1. The ordinance limits are pretty comparable to last year's measure.

The Board was scheduled to receive information on electrical aggregation rates, but the presenter was unable to attend so the matter will be addressed at the next board meeting.

Board members released any claim on a lot in a residential development; granted another 12 months for the developers of a residential project to complete work on the project; and voted to release minutes of recent closed sessions of the board.

The Board approved a subdivision of property owned by the Stella Esker family along Main Street into two lots; and reviewed an upcoming discussion concerning solar and wind energy scheduled next Wednesday evening by the Teutopolis Planning Commission. There was also discussion on additional sewer maintenance needed. The village recently smoked sewers along Main Street and Walnut Street and got a lot of smoke backup in a number of locations. That led to plans to televise those sewers to see what repairs are needed. It was learned that a sewer at Washington and Main is rootbound so additional work will be forthcoming.

Board members accepted a two-year TIF services agreement with South Central Illinois Regional Planning and Development Commission, and decided to seek additional quotes on security glass for the village office. The Board decided to complete work on a revised solar ordinance, then concentrate on a swimming pool ordinance for the village.

Action on the establishment of standards for the construction of utility facilities within public ways in the village was tabled, and the Board voted to go ahead with additional tiling farther south along South Pearl Street. The work is to be done by Village crews at a cost of $9,300.
