Cowden-Herrick School Board Finalizes Members

Cowden-Herrick school board members canvassed votes from the April election at this month's meeting, and certified that Consuela Lorton, Jason Brummet and Jason Robertson were elected to new terms.

Lorton, Brummet and Robertson were sworn into office, and also appointed Travis Elliott as the person to fill a two-year unexpired term on the Board.

The Board chose Greg Jones to serve as board president, Zach Sarver as vice president, and Rita Prosser as secretary.

Board members accepted resignations from Gene Wilson as a bus driver and Katy Noble as high school assistant girls basketball coach. These coaches were rehired for the coming school year: High School Volleyball: Katy Noble; High School Volleyball Assistant Coach: Kendall Fulk; High School Girls Basketball: Marc Bain; Junior High Volleyball: Angela Jefferies; Junior High Volleyball Assistant Volunteer: Don Jefferies; Junior High Boys Basketball: Dennis Nohren; Junior High Boys Basketball Assistant Volunteer: Nathan Vaughn; Junior High Track: Cassidy Tucker and AJ Miller; High School Track: Clint Lorton; Junior/Senior High Cross Country: Clint Lorton; 5th/6th Grade Basketball: Lee Roadarmel; 5th/6th Grade Basketball Assistant Volunteer: Ryan Shafer.

The Board hired Tessa Richards as an elementary teacher, and employed Becky Wilson as a part-time librarian at the Herrick building.
