Two men were injured over the weekend in an ATV crash.

The crash happened at 11:46pm Saturday on a rural road two miles northwest of Montrose.  State police say 28-year-old Doug Swingler of Teutopolis lost control of the ATV he was operating.  The unit spun to the left and then rolled over and slid on its side off into a ditch.

Swingler was injured as was his passenger 29-year-old Phil Ruholl of Teutopolis.  Both were taken to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.  Ruholl was transferred to Carle Hospital in Urbana for additional treatment.

Swingler was cited for DUI, operating an uninsured vehicle, improper lane usage and operating an ATV on a roadway.
