DIETERICH -- The Dieterich School Board presented Justin Gephart a plaque as gratitude for his six years of service to the Dieterich Unit #30 School Board.

The board learned a small parcel of district-owned land was sold at public auction to RTR Investments, Inc. for $4,000. RTR plans to combine this small parcel with lots purchased from DCDC and the Village of Dieterich in order to develop the property into four housing units focused on senior living.

The board awarded Prairie Farms the dairy contract for the 2013-14 school year and South Central FS Inc. the petroleum bid for the 2013-14 school year. They renewed district membership in both the Illinois Association of School Baords (IASB) and the Association of Illinois Rural and Small Schools (AIRSS) for the 2013-24 school year.

Principal Kevin Haarman discussed options for photography services provided to the district. After the discussion the board approved Lifetouch as the district's photography provider for the upcoming school year.

Personnel moves were: hired Emily Cartmill as part-time district art teacher, hired Courtney Koester as high school dance coach and hired Bill McClain as head junior high boys baseball coach.
