Noon Rotarians Learn More About FCA

Effingham Noon Rotarians got to hear from Fellowship of Christian Athletes Area Director Kyle Stortzum at their meeting March 15.

Stortzum serves a seven-county area working with coaches to encourage them in a walk with God with the hope that they can be a positive influence on their athletes.

FCA's 2023 Night of Champions is scheduled for this Sunday night at the Effingham Performance Center. Stortzum discussed the evening, which will feature former Chicago Bears great Mike Singletary. Doors will open at 5pm with the evening opening at 6pm. Tickets will be on sale at the door, with proceeds benefitting FCA activities including summer youth camps.

Dave Ring served as Rotary weekly program chairman. 

The Rotary weekly student guest was Andrew Donaldson, son of Dave and Missy Donaldson and a senior at Effingham High School. Following two years at Lake Land College, Andrew will attend a four-year university and then attend Optometry School at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He is the valedictorian of his class.
