Plan Commission Approves Site Plan for Expansion at Mid-Illinois Concrete

The Effingham City Plan Commission Tuesday approved a site plan for work at Mid-Illinois Concrete at 1301 Commerce Avenue in the City Business Park.

The project will include a new building, an expanded detention basin, and a short extension of street on the south end of the property. The project will include two new silos, each about 100 feet tall. 

City Engineer Luke Thoele told commissioners the project is designed to expand Mid-Illinois' capacity.
