A special meeting of the Effingham Water Authority was held May 29 at Lake Sara. The sand filter and chlorinator at the old Pinnacle Center location, which appears to be on a portion of EWA property, was inspected. It was agreed to get an appraisal to determine the value of the property. The septic issue will need to be resolved prior to finalizing a sale on the Pinnacle Center building.

The lake superintendent's residence was inspected due to recent flooding in the basement. The paneling and ceiling will be torn out and inspected for mold and asbestos. Bids will be considered further after receiving a report on the mold and asbestos issues.
