Heavy Rainfall, Strong Winds In Region

High winds and heavy rainfall were being joined by freezing conditions farther north of the Effingham area today.

We've had reports of freezing conditions in the Bloomington area. We've also had reports that water was over the roadway in the Greenville area and west earlier today.

Some 250 customers in the Effingham area were without power this afternoon, but crews are working to get service restored.

Thankfully, the precipitation is to come to an end around sunset, although the winds are to remain strong well into the evening.
