Petition Packets Available for Park Board Candidates

Petition packets for the 2023 Effingham Park District commissioner election are ready to be picked up.

Interested candidates may pick up a packet between 8am and 4:30pm any weekday at the Ron Diehl Center at 1906 South 4th Street in Effingham.

Two positions will be filled in the Consolidated Election on April 4, 2023. The newly-elected Commissioners will serve six-year terms. Jason Semple and Russ Sehy are currently holding those positions. Sehy plans to run again, but Semple does not plan to run.

Candidates must be residents of the Effingham Park District. Election packet information must be filed at the Park District office during regular office hours between December 12th and 19th.
