Wheeler resident Paul Beville has pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary and a charge of possession of a stolen vehicle.

The 47-year-old Beville had been charged with a more serious count of residential burglary. That count was dismissed as part of a negotiated plea.

Beville was arrested by Effingham city police in August following burglaries at two homes on the city's north side. He was taken into custody while driving a vehicle that had been taken from one of the homes.

Police were able to recover all of the items taken from the homes.

Beville, who was scheduled to go on trial this week, will be sentenced on January 10th.
