Brownstown School Board Holds November Meeting

Brownstown school board members this week to action on several items.

The Board approved the tentative 2022 tax levy; and a scope change request to include construction of a solar field and replacement of 13 doors and frames throughout District buildings. Also approved was a resolution approving the issuance of $1,025,000 in limited tax general obligation school debt certificates, and the hiring of Ritchey Painting to complete painting work at the junior-senior high school building.

Health Appliance and Equitable for health, dental, vision and life insurance plans was awarded through Clemens Insurance efffective January 1, 2023; and memoranda of understanding with the Brownstown Education Association and the Brownstown Education Support Personnel Association reflecting insurance changes.

The Board conducted their first reading of policy updates as recommended by the Illinois Association of School Boards.
