2012 was a year to be remembered for many vintage sports’ collectibles that were unearthed from dusty attics and broken down garages.  The most significant find of the year (The Black Swamp Find) occurred in Ohio when a group of Mint baseball cards from over 100 years ago were discovered.  The collection has netted the family over $2,000,000!

When Michael Osacky, President of Baseball In The Attic (baseballintheattic.com) was asked whether more significant finds are still left to be discovered; “Yes, we have been around since 1997 and there are still numerous private collections’ waiting to see daylight.  The stories’ behind the collections’ are important to us because they are leaving this world every day.”

Osacky is taking his operation on the road during the Summer of 2013.  It's an opportunity to find out if your vintage sports cards and memorabilia are valuable.  Childhood collections, items passed down from your family, and estate finds could be valuable.  Osacky will be in Effingham on Saturday June 1, 2013 at the Helen Matthes Library from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. He will be taking appointments on a first come, first serve basis.
