Two people were injured in a crash in a rural area east of Montrose.

The crash happened at 1:07pm Monday at the intersection of County Roads 500 East and 2100 North five miles east of Montrose.  State police say a truck driven by 53-year-old Martin McGregor of Minooka and a car driven by 17-year-old Maria Esker of Teutopolis collided in the intersection.  Police said there are no stop signs at the rural intersection.

McGregor and Esker were both taken to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.  No tickets were issued.
