You are invited to a "Meet Me at the Finish Line" event Saturday morning at the Richard E. Workman Sports and Wellness Complex.

The Complex will be the scene of HSHS St. Anthony's Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness' inaugural event, a Youth Adaptive Try-athlon.

The event is being held for youth 15 and younger as a fun and challenging event for kids overcoming physical challenges. These young athletes will swim, bike and run in this three-event race that not only promotes fitness, but improves self-confidence as participants cross the finish line on their own. Each athlete will have buddies by their side every splash, pedal and step of the way.

There will be food trucks, pre-race fun and prizes for the athletes. Families, friends and community members will be joining in to cheer on the athletes to make the day even more special.

Athletes will compete in a 30-minute heat with four other athletes to give plenty of space for each athlete. The first heat starts at 9am. Each subsequent heat will kick off every half-hour.

A reminder that Tonya and B.D. will be broadcasting from the event on Classic Hits 979XFM and KJ Country 102.3 from 8:30am to 10:30am Saturday.
