Bail has been set at $3 million for Farina resident Mark Fulk, charged with allegedly trying to hire someone to kill his wife.

The 35-year-old Fulk is being held in Fayette County Jail in Vandalia on a charge of solicitation of murder for hire.  Fulk is alleged to have offered a man cash, a motorcycle, an auto shop and a house if he would kill Fulk's wife.

While a prosecution motion to deny bail for Fulk was denied, the $3 million bail includes a number of provisions.  Fulk was ordered to have no contact with his wife or their children, cannot be at their home or business in Farina, and once out on bail is to be under electronic home confinement at his mother's house in Effingham.  Fulk must be under the supervision of his mother or stepfather, and cannot be left alone in their residence.

Also Wednesday, Fulk pleaded not guilty.  A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 28 and Fulk's trial date was set for July 29.
