Kinmundy Woman Gets 18-Year Prison Term for Sexual Assault, Child Pornography

Kinmundy resident Vickie Odem faces 18 years in prison for sexually assaulting a child under the age of six and for creating child pornography.

The 32-year-old Odem pled guilty in April to the offenses, which occurred in 2020. Four similar counts were dismissed as part of the negotiated plea. 

Odem was sentenced Tuesday to 12 years in prison for the sexual assault count and another six years in prison for the child pornography offense. The sentences will be served consecutively, not together.

Odem will be on mandatory supervised release once out of prison.
