Brownstown school board members this week approved administrator salaries for the coming school year, and also approved a memorandum of understanding with the Brownstown Education Association for the coming school year.

The Board approved a contract for the coming year with bookkeeper and treasurer Jacy Schaub and hired Rod Rogers as a substitute bus driver.

Insurance coverage was awarded to Dimond Brothers as the district property/casualty carrier, North Wayne Insurance as the workers compensation carrier, and scholastic risk coverage was awarded to North Wayne and Ramza Insurance. An employee assistance program was approved through Egyptian Trust.

The Board contracted with Homefield Energy for the delivery of electricity, and approved the replacement of the district's firewall infrastructure. Shawna Bloemer was employed as a high school English teacher, and Amber Brungard was employed as a one to one aide. Resignations were accepted from Martin Gibson as high school English teacher and high school Bass Fishing coach, and from Beth Gibson as high school Special Education teacher. The Board also adopted an amended budget for the current fiscal year.
