Area Memorial Day Observances Begin Sunday

The Memorial Day observances in our area are beginning this weekend.

A Memorial Day service is planned Sunday at Green Creek Cemetery, north of Effingham, beginning after the 8am Mass.

Another Memorial Day observance is planned Sunday at Loy Cemetery, just east of Heartville. The ceremony will begin at 1pm.

The public is welcome to attend both of those observances.
