EHS, SAHS Classes of '22 Graduate This Weekend

The Effingham High School and St. Anthony High School Classes of 2022 graduate this weekend.

The St. Anthony Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation Ceremony will take place Saturday night at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. 

The Mass will include music by the senior high school choir members, students participating in the readings and the intercessions. Individual participants include Evie Strullmyer, Bridget Sudkamp and Taylor Smith.

During the graduation ceremony, Elizabeth Kabbes will present the salutatorian speech; Dixie Hartke of the Class of 1972 is this year's Distinguished Alum; and Ada Rozene will share the valedictorian speech. 

The EHS ceremony will begin at 2pm Sunday in the main gymnasium. It's the 137th Annual Commencement Exercise for EHS.

Coralin Ohnesorge will give the Welcome from the Class. Senior Class President Noah Jones will speak, then the 25 Co-Valedictorians will speak. They include Sawyer Althoff, Megan Ballman, Chloe Bushue, Cailee Chapman, Jackson Doedtman, Dalton Fox, Damon Kalber, Joseph Matteson, Krista Phillips, Ariel Rubin, Ryker Schneider, Britney Walls, Emily Zhao, Mattie Angel, Tori Budde, Serena Buzzard, Alexis Chrappa, Tyler Feldhake, Maxwell Hardiek, Katelyn Larsen, Gwendolyn Mihlbachler, Ethan Ritz, Meredith Schaefer, Jarrett Swan and Eden Wendling.

Jonathon Perry will lead the change of tassels.
