Louisville Man Arrested in Possession of Loaded Weapon

A Louisville man was arrested in Effingham County over the weekend on a charge of armed violence.

35-year-old Joshua L. McGee was arrested following a traffic stop about 10pm Saturday. Effingham County Sheriff Paul Kuhns said McGee made no threats to the deputy, but was in possession of a loaded weapon and had no valid FOID card.

In addition to the armed violence charge, and the charge of possession of the weapon without a valid FOID card, McGee was taken into custody on counts of unlawful use of a weapon, and possession of methamphetamine.
