A St. Elmo woman was injured when she was thrown from a three-wheel vehicle Wednesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at 1:45pm along Illinois 37, a half-mile south of the I-57 Watson-Mason interchange.  State police say the three-wheel trike, operated by 61-year-old Randy Laue of St. Elmo ran through the T-intersection and off the roadway.  The unit ran down an embankment, throwing Laue and passenger 61-year-old Karen Laue of St. Elmo, off the vehicle.

Karen Laue was injured and was taken to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.
