Fatal Vehicle Crash in Richland County

A Sumner resident was fatally injured in a weekend crash in Richland County.
31-year-old Wendy S. Dunfee died after her vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a tree. The crash happened at 2am Saturday. Illinois State Police report Dunfee's vehicle was traveling west on Elbow Road, just west of Higgins Switch Road, when the vehicle ran off the roadway.
Dunfee was pronounced dead at the scene.
