Dieterich school board members Monday reviewed the district's facility report and agreed to schedule a facility planning meeting. The meeting will be held to finalize plans for renovations to the entryways of both the junior-senior high school and the elementary school.

The Board reviewed and discussed the district's Return to School Plan. The Board discussed new exclusionary guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and adoption of the guidance from the Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Department of Public Health. Other than the new exclusionary guidance, no other changes were made.

Board members accepted the resignation of aide Amy Ferguson, effective January 2, and hired Pamela Adams as a fulltime custodian.

The Dieterich board applied for the fiscal year property tax relief grant. Dieterich Superintendent Cary Jackson said that the chances of being awarded the grant are very slim, but if obtained, could benefit both district taxpayers and the district in the long-term.

The Board also voted to purchase a 71-passenger bus through the national bid process, in the amount of $100,870.
