182 New Positive COVID Cases in County Friday Through Sunday

The Effingham County Health Department announced 182 new cases of COVID have been reported from Friday through Sunday.

109 of those cases involved those under age 40. The State is seeing an increase in pediatric cases; the numbers the Health Department is reporting here for the weekend included 10 cases ages one and under.

The Illinois Region 6 seven-day rolling test positivity was up to 20.1% through January 7, with Effingham County also at 20.1% for the same period. ICU availability in the region is at 14%.
