Effingham Unit #40 is excited to announce the formation and implementation of a COVID symptomatic testing program for students/staff.  This program was developed with the express goal of helping students/staff stay in school when faced with exclusion due to possible COVID symptoms.

The symptomatic testing program will begin on Monday, December 6th and is open to students/staff that are displaying COVID symptoms and facing exclusion from school.  In order for students/staff to return to school if having been excluded due to COVID symptoms they must provide a negative test result or stay out for ten (10) days.  This program may be utilized to meet the negative test requirement.

The program is voluntary, free and open to both vaccinated and unvaccinated students/staff who are exhibiting COVID symptoms.  To participate, all participants must have a signed consent form and students must be accompanied by parent/guardian.  Appointments are required and program information is attached as well as posted on the Unit #40 website at www.unit40.org

The District is excited to be able to offer a symptomatic testing program for students/staff.  Please see attached informational sheet which can be found on the Unit #40 website at www.unit40.org.
