Five People Arrested in Tuesday Drug Operation in Effingham

Five people were arrested following the execution of a search warrant at a house in the 800 block of West Richland Avenue in Effingham Tuesday morning.

A narcotics investigation by the Effingham Police Department led to the search warrant at the home, which was executed by the City and County Special Response Team with the assistance of the Effingham County Sheriff's Department.

The five arrested were:

19-year-old Trinady R. Baker of Effingham on a charge of possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine

22-year-old Justin R. Kollman of Watson on charges of possession with intent to deliver 5 to 15 grams of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia

(KOLLMAN)

20-year-old Kaitlyn G. Durbin of Beecher City on charges of possession of 5 to 15 grams of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia

(K. DURBIN)

23-year-old Anthony A. Brown of Effingham on a charge of possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine

(BROWN)

28-year-old Jeffrey L. Durbin of Beecher City on charges of possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia

(J. DURBIN)

The bulk of the charges are felonies, which could result in prison terms. Possession of drug paraphernalia is a Class A misdemeanor that could result in up to a year in jail.
